Tour News::Rod Stewart at the RBC center

Last night I saw Rod Stewart at the RBC center in Raleigh. I was someone’s guest so I didn’t have to fork out the minimun $125 ticket price. Most of the crowd were 45 and older. I know the guy is a little cheezy but he is undoubtedly a legend. From his tenure with The Faces to his long solo career he has had hits in every decade since the sixties. He has also written some of the greatest anthems of the heart, and I know he is a guilty pleasure for a lot of people. You just can’t help but be touched by so many of his tunes. I wouldn’t pay $125 to see anyone unless they were playing in my kitchen, but I’d have to say that most of those folks thought they got their money’s worth. I thought he was really good, and fairly charming as well. He played many of the hits, went through several wardrobe changes and signed the occasional autograph as he pranced around the stage. He started off with You Wear It Well, a song I myself have played to seduce many a woman. It was a fun time and one arena filled sing along.
