These Are Powers’ music is composed spontaneously through improvisation and collaboration. Focusing on tight, cyclical, incrementally shifting grooves smeared with spectral guitar and banshee vocals – rather than the general entropy favored by many improv units – the band upends traditional stylistic expectations of acts operating within the noise-punk continuum. These Are Powers are releasing their first full length “Terrific Seasons” digitally, on CD, and double 12” vinyl (silkscreen, gatefold) through HOSS Records on 10/23/2007.
