The Big Sleep rock back with "Sleep Forever"

The Big Sleep are set to return with another mound of noise infested post-rock on February 19th. The Brooklyn-based trio’s sophomore full length, Sleep Forever, is a proud continuation of the psychedelic meta-rock championed on 2006’s punisher, Son of the Tiger – an album whose bewitching songs drew comparisons to artists as disparate as Led Zeppelin, Sonic Youth, and My Bloody Valentine. Elements of all three juggernauts can be heard on Sleep Forever’s single “Pinkies,” a soaring number that gets by on Danny Barria’s thick, snarling guitars and the propulsive rhythm section of bassist Sonya Balchandani and wildman drummer Gabe Rhodes. Catch the band live on New Year’s at NYC’s Mercury Lounge.
