Frankel works on new recordings and plays around L.A.

In June, Michael Orendy (aka Frankel) released his debut full length Lullaby for the Passerby on friend and music veteran Raymond Richards’ (Brian Jonestown Massacre, Idaho Falls, Mojave 3) Red Rockets Glare label. The album drew comparisons to Harry Nilsson, Brian Wilson, Randy Newman and Richard Swift and quickly drew credible attention. This fall, Orendy joined Earlimart on guitar for their national tour supporting their highly lauded and anticipated Mentor Tormenter, but is now back in Los Angeles and is gearing up to play multiple shows. Orendy plans on spending his new year playing around town and in the studio working on new recordings, as he already has an album’s worth of material ready to put to tape.
