The Helio Sequence: Keep Your Eyes Ahead

The Helio Sequence released their new record Keep Your Eyes Ahead, this week on Sub Pop. An atmospheric delay/synth fest, which will bring to mind everything from classic era U2 a’ la Unforgettable Fire, to even Dylan on a few numbers, such as “You Can Come To Me,” and beautiful acoustic pieces “Shed Your Love,” and “Broken Afternoon.” Anyway, I’ll save you the boring Melvillesque ramblings, where I spend two pages talking about clouds, and tell you ahead of time, that this one is really good, and I think we’ll still remember it at the end of the year. My favorite is the sky walking dance number “Back to This,” but that is subject to change.
