Eldridge Skell’s The Rude Staircase:: Sookie Jump

Eldridge Skell’s The Rude Staircase released their rollercoaster of a record Sookie Jump, back in the fall. The album begins with the temperament of a musical freak show, following into a maze of unexpected runs and stops, with strings and horns allowing the dynamics to come to fruition. Sookie Jump is a well thought out collection of ups & downs, which rests for the zippy afternoon splendor of “In The Silo,” coming complete with bells and whistles. The chaos resumes with “Houses are Burning,” continuing to the end in manic fashion.
