Múm plan 2008 spring in the States with Coachella stop

Iceland’s Múm are bringing their seven-piece lineup, trunkful of sound-makers, and noise-toys back to the USA for a handful of dates, including an appearance at Southern California’s desertastic Coachella Festival. Múm are touring in support of last fall’s Go Go Smear The Poison Ivy LP, for which founding members Gunnar Örn Tynes and Örvar Póreyjarson Smárason joined together a band of new like-minded musicians to reinvigorate the band’s childlike, organic electro-pop into something more celebratory, without sacrificing the dark underpinnings that have always lent mystery to their sound.
