Band Marino at Record Store Day

Being a lover of music while growing up in a generic coastal town without any good record stores is a reality I lived for years. There were the usual chains, and then some local independent shops popped up here and there; always with excessive high prices and shit selection, and ran by people who merely liked music, not loved music. I’m afraid that town hasn’t changed much, only managing to add more crap and a lame town center. Between April 9th – April 19th, hundreds of independent record stores across the country will simultaneously link and act as one with the purpose of celebrating the culture and unique place that they occupy both in their local communities and nationally for Record Store Day. Band Marino, along with Manchester Orchestra, The Duke Spirit, The New Pornographers and many more will play together from coast to coast with honor and principle.
