Bess Rogers:: Decisions Based On Information

Up until the release of her debut full length, Decisions Based on Information, Bess Rogers was a seasoned musician who occupied her musical life with the likes of Jenny Owen Youngs, Ingrid Michaelson, and synth/pop band, The Age of Rockets. On Decisions Based on Information, Bess shows off her songwriting skills by giving the listener a wide variety with the saloon atmosphere of “Modern Man,” and the carnivalesque “Waltz Me.” The prancing “Earthquake,” comes with a welcomed spaciousness and adds on to a record of fairly catchy tunes. Tones range from acoustic to the more technologically advanced, with it all peaking on the high points of the fleeting “Notice,” with Bess soaring. Finally, there is a secret track where she even gets freaky.
