I Love Math:: Getting to the Point is Beside it

I Love Math released their album Getting to the Point is Beside it this week. Featuring members of The Deathray Davies, Old 97’s, The Paper Chase, and The Apples In Stereo, I Love Math exceed anything done by the aforementioned bands in terms of holding my attention. In fact, I Love Math displays the songwritting of John Dufilho in full tilt on this straight forward grass roots recording, that avoids the stirring of pedal boards, concentrating on what really holds people’s attention – – songwriting. Getting to the Point unwinds pretty quick, as these travelling tunes stay upbeat with some heavy direction from the drums to compliment the songs and the rich vocals. I suppose this one would be filed somewhere between alt-country, Americana, and pleasant sounds. Check the band on tour with Old 97’s this summer and enjoy Josephine Street from Getting to the Point is Beside it.
