Said to be a bit sunnier than 2006′s Over the Mountain, Across the Valley and Back to the Stars; Here With Me shows O’Connor’s committed and focused vocal treatment guiding twelve picturesque episodes with a stirring frankness. Nicely written, emotionally enticing, and drawn out by precise phrasing and use of space over acoustic strums that stay prominent even when the instrumentation is added.
