Stooges guitarist Ron Asheton passes on

Ron Asheton, the guitarist and bassist for The Stooges, was found dead today at 60. Asheton’s body was discovered on a sofa, and appeared to have been dead for at least several days. Asheton was a founder member of The Stooges, along with his brother Scott Asheton, Dave Alexander and frontman Iggy Pop.
