Audrye Sessions debut; tour with Manchester Orchestra

Oakland’s Audrye Sessions recently released their self-titled debut on Black Seal. The album is twelve tracks that often go big with soaring refrains and other top-of-the-mountain moments. At certain points, such as on two of the standouts, “Relentlessness,” and “Where You’ll Find Me,” one will be hard pressed not to reference The Bends, with its builds, emotional strain, release, and overall constructions. By the end it is obvious that Audrye Sessions have put a lot of thought into this work and some will certainly find their place here. Word is that they’re even better live. Haven’t seen them yet, but soon. Take in some music below, including the video for “Turn Me Off,” which includes a poignant anti-grass message. See the band live with Manchester Orchestra this spring.
