Street Dogs:: War After The War

Street Dogs are releasing a digital single exclusively with iTunes today called “War After the War.” The band will donate 100% of all profits from the sale of this track to Homes For Our Troops, a non-profit organization that assists servicemen and women who have returned home with serious disabilities and injuries. In addition, Street Dogs have added a new section entitled “Veteran’s Aid” to their website, a resource guide which provides links to organizations helping veterans transition back into society with mental health services, housing, financial aid and more. Street Dogs are on their 1st Annual Crooked, Drunken Sons Tour with Bay Area punk veterans Swingin’ Utters on select shows. Fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable canned food items with them to the band’s merch table, which will be distributed to local food banks.

Homes For Our Troops is a non-profit, non-partisan, 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2004 and named a top rated charity by the American Institute of Philanthropy (AIP), described as “the pit bull of watchdogs” by the NY Times. Homes For Our Troops is committed to helping those who have served their country and have returned home with serious disabilities and injuries. They assist severely injured Servicemen and Women and their immediate families by raising donations of money, building materials and professional labor and then coordinating the process of building a new home or adapting an existing home for handicapped accessibility at no cost to the veterans they serve. The finished home is then gifted to the veteran.
