Transfer & The Holy Rolling Empire spring tour

San Diego’s Transfer and Tuscon’s The Holy Rolling Empire are gearing up for their 2009 spring west coast tour, opening at Spaceland in Silverlake, California, on April 15th. Transfer’s UK released EP, Sunken Eyes was recorded and produced with Louis XIV’s Brian Karscig, receiving airplay on both BBC Radio and XFM Manchester during the band’s fall 2007 tour of the UK. Transfer is currently in the final stages of recording their second full-length album, produced by the band with bassist/engineer, Shaun Cornell, and mixed by Mark Needham, (Killers, Bloc Party, Chris Isaac). The album is said to be inspired by coyotes and crickets around their hillside studio in North San Diego, while set for release on their own Obscure Magpie Records this July.
