Constantines bring Too Slow For Love to U.S.

Toronto quintet, Constantines, will return to the U.S., during June, in support of their new Kensington Heights bonus EP, Too Slow For Love. Recently recorded at the Bathouse in Kingston, Ontario, Too Slow For Love features new alternate versions of Constantines songs, including 4 tracks from the band’s latest album, Kensington Heights. The EP will complement Kensington Heights and is available free with purchase of the album. The band is currently in the midst of a seven-week cross Canada tour with The Weakerthans. Kensington Heights was released last spring on Arts & Crafts.

“Credit River” seems even more appropriate these days considering our American economic chaos, and the supposed remedies. Personally, when I’m having money issues, my first inclination isn’t to go out and spend up every bit of credit I have (like our nation is currently doing). I hope our men in charge know what they are doing, though I lack the blind idealism of many of you. Of course, I’m not sure how folks can buy much at all when credit card companies (like mine at citicorp) are jacking up interest rates; this is after we’ve spent years subjected to the backwards hiring processes that give us the jackasses we have to talk to on the phone.
