A Camp release Colonia in the US

Out today in the US, is A Camp’s sophomore album, Colonia, on Nettwerk Records. Colonia is a slightly blue, sequined run of events showing Cardigan’s frontwoman Nina Persson still in fine form. Among the best tracks are the obvious single, “Stronger Than Jesus,” which showcases the album’s biggest hooks, and the stirring duet of “Golden Teeth and Silver Medals,” featuring Nina and Nicolai Dunger. Having said that, the topper on this record is the proclamatory “Love Has Left The Room,” deliberating on the “beautiful mess” of love, and that which offers our ultimate empowerment while exposing our fatal weakness. Colonia is the follow-up to A Camp’s 2001 self-titled debut that was produced by Mark Linkous of Sparklehorse and earned them 4 Swedish Grammies.
