Devendra Banhart has completed his sixth album, with production by Banhart and Paul Butler (of UK outfit Band Of Bees). Devendra and company moved into a house in Bolinas, CA (North of San Francisco), and set up a recording facility with the help of Tape Op Magazine’s John Baccigaluppi.
The basic recording line-up was Devendra on vocals and guitar; Noah Georgeson on guitar and backing vocals, Greg Rogove on drums and backing vocals; Luckey Remington on bass and vocals and Rodrigo Amarante on guitar and backing vocals.
The album will be released Fall of 2009 and will be on a new label, with Banhart having departed from the XL Recordings.
