The Paul Green School of Rock All-Stars tour of the West

image_5029The Paul Green School of Rock All-Stars (yes, the School of Rock that they made the movie out of!) are playing a bunch of shows up and down the West Coast! This year’s group will pay homage to the artists of Woodstock in celebration of Woodstock’s 40th anniversary on its tour of the west coast. The All-Stars will play music by The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Santana and many more.

The Paul Green School of Rock All-Stars are a handpicked group comprised of the school’s most virtuous students from the entire nation’s programs. Founded in Philadelphia in 1998 and widely popularized by the 2005 Don Argott documentary Rock School, The Paul Green School of Rock is a performance-based, interactive music school that helps students ages 7-18 realize their potential as artists. The school puts students on stage in front of as many people as possible, and has been helping to foster new generations of musicians for over a decade. The school’s students play over 500 concerts to more than 200,000 people per year at legendary venues like CBGB’s, The Trocadero, Stubb’s, The Knitting Factory, BB King’s in Times Square, and at festivals like Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits.
