Lou Barlow released his latest solo work, Goodnight Unknown, last month on Merge Records. Featuring fourteen tracks of greying sky, emotional uncovering and other discovery typical of Barlow, Goodnight Unknown, should please Barlow fans. With Goodnight Unknown Lou continues to work out the seams of a tattered soul, never sounding better than on the beautifully acoustic plundered “Too Much Freedom.” Having said that, “The One I Love” is one of a few other touching spectacles.
