Flight Of The Conchords:: I Told You I Was Freaky

PrintFlight Of The Conchords’ latest album, I Told You I Was Freaky features thirteen tracks of hip/hop and electro-pop self-parody taken from the second season of their tv series. The duo write about things that aren’t cool at all to talk about, yet the subject matter is very real. I Told You I Was Freaky opens up with the hip/hop track – “Hurt Feelings,” breaking a long silence on how even the hardest man feels the sting of being abandoned by friends, and family forgetting his birthday. On “We’re Both In Love With A Sexy Lady,” The Conchords tackle the oh so commonplace scenario of two friends falling for the same girl with both believing she was ‘giving them the vibe.’ If that’s not enough by the end you’ll run into “Too Many Dicks (On The Dancefloor),” a contemplation on yet another problem facing modern man. Once again you have to marvel at their genius, and yet, have to wonder how long they’ll go on with the routine.
