Lee “Scratch” Perry will be embarking on a brief US tour this month. Perry has been at the forefront of reggae music since the late 50′s ska movement as the inventor of dub, reggae and the “scratch” turntable effect used by DJ’s everywhere. Perry’s most recent album, Repentance, started with a chance meeting between Perry and upbeat artist/producer Andrew W.K. at SXSW in 2006. Guest musicians include Moby, Don Fleming, and drummer Brian Chippendale of noise duo Lightning Bolt.
