When The Darkness came around I wasn’t that taken by their music. What I did find refreshing was their spirit of “fuck you” to the anti-decadence of the nineties and its disdain for guitar leads and looking anything but angry and annoyed while playing music. It gets old watching bands on stage who can’ t play their instruments, and that’s what I remember a lot of in the late nineties. This song still brings a little joy to me.
