Shout Out Louds:: Work

Suppose it must be good if I’m still pulling out an album released a couple of months back while all these others suffer from lack of attention. That’s exactly the case with Shout Out Louds’ latest Work, which has provided the correct light needed to escape a chilling first quarter of 2010. The record sees the group having no problem departing from the formula and feel of Our Ill Wills, a favorite in itself that evoked thoughts of the The Cure’s The Head On A Door. Never too sunny or drab, but just the sort of melody and tone one comes to expect from a band that excels above most in the diverse wide world of pop. Lead singer Adam Olenius wrote most of the songs while living in Melbourne, Australia, and later passed them on to the band.  Even when I know that you’re right I still go on.  Very Nice.
