Australian group Philadelphia Grand Jury’s new single ‘I Don’t Want To Party (Party),’ a live favourite, will be released via iTunes on March 22nd. The single is joined by three exclusive tracks, including a disco remix of album track ‘Wet Winter Holiday’ by Mike FWD, a solo track by lead singer and producer Berkfinger called ‘Jimmy At The Whorehouse’ which is the first cut off a self-produced solo concept album due out later in the year, and a hip-hop funk jam called ‘Both Kinds Of Music’ written, sung and produced by the band’s new drummer Calvin. Calvin (yes just Calvin) is a 56 year-old African American drummer who has lended his sticks to US disco, Earth Wind and Fire, and bebop legend Sonny Stitt.
To celebrate the single Philadelphia Grand Jury will be touring throughout April with special guests The John Steel Singers for what will be their final Australian shows for the foreseeable future. The band will then re-locate to the UK where they have a deal with London based Beggar’s label ‘Too Pure’ and a series of club shows leading into the Northern Summer.

Neon Indian, the much talked about 21 year old Alan Palomo, has a new single - “Sleep Paralysist,” co-produced by Grizzly Bear’s Chris Taylor and brought to you by Green Label Sound.
They grew up in the same Essex village – Stanford Le Hope, though their paths barely crossed before they spent a Christmas season working at the Lakeside branch of HMV. After a brief creative courtship sharing Myspace links and remixes, their very first collaboration – “Thou Shalt Always Kill,” was sent to XFM’s John Kennedy in demo form and within 24 hours Kennedy had played the track on his show. Pip then set up a myspace page with their solitary track… “Suddenly it went crazy – everyone was emailing the track to other people, so the only thing to do was borrow £200 and make a video.” dan le sac Vs Scroobius Pip returns with The Logic of Chance on March 30th.
The Heart is a Drum Machine features Wayne Coyne, Jason Schwartzman, Elijah Wood, Andrew VanWyngarden of MGMT, Britt Daniel of Spoon, Juliette Lewis, John Frusciante, Maynard James Keenan, and more, all answering the question “What is Music?” The film was directed by Christopher Pomerenke and produced by the makers of 2006’s Moog. The Flaming Lips’ Steven Drozd wrote and performed the film’s original score and covered Elton John’s “Rocket Man” with Maynard James Keenan on vocals. My TV watching consists wholly of LOST, sports, action sports reality shows, and as a result I’ve never seen Grey’s Anatomy. I do like The Sweet Serenades and their song, “Die Young” (a duet with Karolina from Club was recently featured inGrey’s Anatomy episode 616 – Perfect Little Accident. In May The Sweet Serenades will support Club 8 on their tour in Asia. The Sweet Serenades debut, Balcony Cigarettes is being released by Leon Records in Sweden and Germany.
