In honor of Black history month Everyday Sunshine:: The Story of Fishbone is out on itunes with the DVD coming on the 21st. The documentary was directed by filmmakers Lev Anderson & Chris Metzler and is narrated by Laurence Fishburne. Included are interviews with: Gwen Stefani (No Doubt), Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Ice-T (rapper), Branford Marsalis (saxophonist), Perry Farrell (Jane’s Addiction, Porno For Pyros), Questlove (The Roots), and others.
Lissy Trullie presents“It’s Only You, Isn’t It”, the new single from her self-titled debut album. The record was produced by John Hill (Santigold, M.I.A., Shakira) and David Sitek (TV On the Radio, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Liars) and is set for release on April 10th via Downtown Records.

Roanoke, VA band The Young Sinclairs have announced the digital reissue of the band’s 2008 LP Indian Winter on February 7th. The album was originally recorded in 2006 through mid 2007 and now here we are in the apocalyptic year. The band features John Thompson, Daniel Cundiff (Eternal Summers), Sean Poff, Jonathan Woods, and Samuel Lunsford. In their five years they have self released several full length LPs, EPs and cassettes.

On February 7th The Plimsouls live album Beach Town Confidential will be released. The album was recorded at the height of their career at The Golden Bear in Huntington Beach, CA on August 13, 1983. This recording captures Peter Case, Eddie Muñoz, Dave Pahoa and Louie Ramírez on 16 tracks with six of these songs having never been recorded before by The Plimsouls. Beach Town Confidential was produced by Peter Case and mixed by Peter and Andrew Bush.
